“Mondays with Mary” – 54 Days of Rosary Quotes

Over the past 54 days here in the Diocese of Phoenix, we have been praying the 54-Day Rosary Novena in celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Fatima. This past Friday night, Bishop Thomas J. Olmsted consecrated the Diocese of Phoenix to the Immaculate Heart of Mary at Saints Simon and Jude Cathedral.

Many people I know have taken up the Holy Rosary and have prayed it devoutly these past weeks. My girlfriend and I met just before the novena began and have been praying it together often at night walking the streets of my neighborhood before she returns home to her place. It has been a tremendous gift for us as a couple as well as to the entire Diocese of Phoenix.

Over the 54 days, the Diocese of Phoenix sent out Flocknote messages, for those who signed up, reminders to prayer the novena. The messages contained quotes from many Saints about the Rosary, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Blessed Mother, including the words of Our Lady of Fatima to the three shepherd children. It means consecrating this world to the pierced heart of the Savior, bringing it back to the very source of its redemption. The heart of Mary is aware of this, more than any other heart in the whole universe, visible, and invisible. And so she calls us. She not only calls us to be converted: she calls us to accept her motherly help to return to the source of redemption.” – Pope St. John Paul II

  1. Those are great quotes. But I am curious about what Line # 54 would say – a quote from Tom Perna….

I struggle with Mary. Not from a non catholic point of view, but from a meaningful relationship. Guess it stems from troubled relationships with my mom (deceased) and my step mom whom is close (or was, not sure) to Mary but with whom I have a very difficult time with.

I know you are close to Mary, so I wonder – what is Tom Perna’s quote….
