Recently I wrote an article talking about the changes to this website/blog, it was titled – TomPerna.org Gets a Facelift. In that article I wrote about how I was going to start advertising and selling for some different Catholic companies doing some rather great things in the Catholic World. As of recently, I have added two banners to the right side of this blog and I hope that you will check them out and support these companies and the work they are doing in evangelizing this Post-Christian culture we all live in today.

As I stated in the aforementioned article, I have started to advertise and sell (I am an affiliate) for Sock Religious. As their About page states, they are a “Mom and Pop online store and their mission is “to bring the faith to the workplace and to spice up your Sunday best.” Anyone that knows me well will tell you that I really enjoying wearing stylish socks (see picture below – yes that’s a C-3P0!). My co-workers always say that I do a great job matching my socks to my outfits, and at times, to my dress shoes as well. So, when I found Sock Religious, I was super excited to add some Catholic socks to my collection. I have not purchased any directly for myself yet since I have been told by a couple of friends that these socks could be in my future as gifts for my wedding, which is only a few weeks away.

The other company that I am also advertising and selling (again, I am an affiliate) for is the Catholic BALM Co. I wrote quite a bit about them in my article back in April titled, I Grew A Beard and Now I Am Getting Married. From the “Our Story” page on their website, Catholic BALM Co. really started because of “their love for Youth Ministers.” Although they started off creating beard balms and oils, they also carry lip balm, mustache wax, a beard brush, a lotion bar, and prayer cards. My favorite beard balm so far is HOLY SMOKES. I love how it smells like incense.
