That Was Awkward!

Well December 21, 2012 came and went just like we all expected it to do so – Awkward!!! The Mayan Calendar seems to be as accurate as Nancy Pelosi when speaking about Catholic doctrine. I wonder if the crazies that went to the Mayan Temples feel as awkward as Catholic young adults at a Catholic young adult gathering – you know exactly what I mean too! (if you are Catholic that is).

I think I will focus on the Holy Scriptures, the Public Revelation of God, when it comes to the end of the world –

Mark 13:33 – “Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time will come.”

Luke 21:36 – “But watch at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that will take place, and to stand before the Son of man.”

Acts of the Apostles 1:7 – “He said to them, “It is not for you to know the times or seasons which the Father has fixed by his own authority.”

Ephesians 6:18 – “Pray at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints…”

The theme here : PRAY! And WE DON’T KNOW WHEN IT’S GOING TO HAPPEN! Stop trying to figure it out!

That is all. Good-night or Good Morning: depending where on Earth you are at this time.

  1. Technically, the Mayan’s didn’t say the world would end. At least that’s my understanding. It was the “end of an age.” It’s the press that spread the word that someone said they said… Does this sound familiar? It “sells newspapers” as they say. The Truth is out there, but we can’t expect today’s journalism to present it to us.
