“Lord I Need You”

Over the past couple of days, I have been watching the video below of Matt Maher sing the song, Lord I Need You, at World Youth Day from a couple of weeks ago. If you have not seen it yet, you really need to watch it now and share it with others.

I watched this Live as it was happening on the beach and found it to be as powerful then as I do now. It’s such a great song for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, simply because the words – Lord I Need You – should be on our lips during Adoration and everyday of our lives. This afternoon, I am going to spend some quality time with Our Lord in Adoration praying and reading in his presence.

There are three things that really move my heart in this video. First, the disposition of the Pope Francis during Holy Adoration is so inspiring. He remains on his knees, deep in prayer, and often bowing his head as to pray deeper. Second, it’s amazing to see so many people (3 million or so) in such prayer and silence. Third, like many of us here in Phoenix, I know Matt Maher. It’s so cool to see him singing and praising Our Lord in Adoration just yards behind Pope Francis.

I was blessed to see the future Saint,  Pope John Paul II, three times in my life. Two of the three times were at World Youth Day – Denver in 1993 and Rome in 2000. I am also blessed to say that I am the JP 2 Generation. Hope you can also read this post – World Youth Day Reflections from the JP2 Generation

If I could make one small request – please say a prayer for me. Although this Blog and my Facebook Page have received more hits over the past 4 days since I began this little endeavor, I am still in search of a full-time job. Ideally, I would like to stay here in Arizona, since my family is here and believe it’s a good home base for my personal ministry, but if something was to open that I could not pass, I’d prayerfully consider it. Please pray that something opens up that will utilize my gifts and talents the Lord has given me. I know God is in control. Thank you.
