This week happens to be much quicker “Mondays with Mary” since I have written on these three National Marian Shrines in the past. It is fascinating that three of the major Marian Shrines (and Apparitions) have taken place in the same country of France.
France has long been known for its amazing Catholic traditions, devotions, and architecture. We are reminded that even during the beginning stages of the Protestant Reformation, France remained a stronghold for Catholicism when so many countries were being overrun by Protestants. Even today France seems to be leading the way, when we are witnessing a decline in Mass attendance around the world, it seems that a renewal, a renaissance of Catholicism is beginning to emerge in France since Mass attendance is on the rise.
Since I have written on these in the past, I would encourage you to read my full articles hyperlinked below –
Our Lady of La Salette is a Marian apparition that happened at La Salette-Fallavaux, France, in 1846.
