Andrea Thomas’ Newest CD – Will You Go

On March 26 of this year I wrote a blog post titled, Help Support Andrea Thomas’ New Album, in the hopes that many of you would assist her financially on Kickstarter so she could get back into the studio and record her latest music. Well many of you came out in force and with help from God himself, Andrea was able to collect the funds she needed to head to Nashville to record her new music.

Her newest CD, Will You Go, was released on October 7, the feast of Our Lady of Rosary through iTunes. I received my copy of the CD in the mail during the month of November since I contributed financial support to the Kickstarter campaign. After nearly 6 weeks of having the CD in my possession, I finally was able to listen to her new music today while I was at work, and let me say, Wow…It’s fantastic! Her voice leaps right out of the speakers into the space you are in. For someone who grew up a musician [yes, drummers are musicians too], I found it to be a spectacular array of musical talent accompanied by great instruments, one being the violin, an instrument often forgotten in most of today’s new music.

There are so many great songs on this one CD, it’s hard to say which one is my favorite. If I had to pick my top three, they would be:

Around and Around
Music in the Night
If It Is You

The bonus track, Because We Believe, originally performed by Andrea Bocelli, and the only song on the CD Andrea didn’t write, is absolutely amazing. Listening to this song at the end of so many other good songs was if this was the beginning of another album hidden on this CD. In this song, Andrea reminds me of Celine Dion.

So instead of writing more about my friends new CD, I am going to end this blog post for the simple reason so you can go purchase it right now. Will You Go by Andrea Thomas can be purchased at iTunes, CDBaby, and Spotify. With Christmas coming up, this would be a great stocking stuffer for that music lover in your life.
