2019 Holy Communion and Confirmation Gift Guide

With Easter nearly upon us and the start of Spring a few weeks ago, we have reached the time in the Catholic Church when young children start to receive two Sacraments of Initiation – Holy Eucharist, commonly known as First Holy Communion, and Confirmation, the sacrament where one is “sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit.” Over the next couple of months, here in the Diocese of Phoenix, many children in the Third Grade will receive both of these sacraments, since our diocese is a Restored Order diocese. This is also the time of the year when adults, who have been preparing for a year or two in the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) are welcomed into the Catholic Church during the highest liturgy of the year, the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday night.

I have compiled this gift list because I wanted to provide for my readers, but most importantly, the parents and grandparents in our program at the parish, a strong resource where they can purchase religious items for either children, adults, and/or the sponsors and Godparents that will stand with them as they receive their Sacraments. Not only are these gifts great for these individuals, you will find good gifts for your catechists, directors, and the priests who have taught throughout the year.

You can feel good about supporting these small Catholic businesses as they exercise their God-given talents to design beautiful products that are true and good.
