Pope Saint John Paul II

Pope Saint John Paul THE GREAT

Today, we celebrate 100 years of the birth of Karol Wojtyla, the Polish man who would become Pope John Paul II.

Anyone that knows me well knows that I am a Pope John Paul II junkie. I love Pope St. John Paul II! If you have been following me or reading my posts on this blog/website, you also know that I write about him a lot. For many years, there wasn’t a month that didn’t go by where I was writing about him. In recent days, I started a podcast titled – JP2 Generation. In case you still haven’t grasped my affection for the man, let me share with you that the license plate on my car reflects John Paul II, yes, my license plate says JP2Gen.

Ever since I saw him for the first time in 1987 here in Phoenix, Arizona, and then learning more about him from my friend, Bobby Kloska, John Paul II has influenced my life. Although my path might be taking a different course soon, the path up until now has been paved because of John Paul II.

You can read more about how he has influenced me in the many blog posts I have written over the years on this blog/website. I would encourage you to read the 92 posts (including this one) here.

I would also hope that you can listen to and support the JP2 Generation Podcast.

I would also encourage you to read Pope Benedict XVI’s Letter to the Polish Bishops stating why Pope St. John Paul II should be given the title of “the Great.”
