On this day, November 11, we remember the brave men and women that have served our country and who have given us the freedoms we love so much. Let us pray with a fervor that these freedoms will continue in our country for generations to come.
Personally, I want to thank all of our veterans for what you have done for this country. I know so many in my family and many of my friends appreciate you and your service. For the last eight years or so, I thank every veteran I meet on the street. Just last weekend, my family and I were having breakfast at a coffee shop in Rapid City, SD. There was a Vietnam Veteran at the table next to us. As we left, I thanked him for his service to our country. He really appreciated my words and said that he does not hear such words that often anymore.

This is just a sampling of the ones that I follow. There are many more. If you know of them, please feel free to write them in the comment section below.
Tonight, my family and I will pray these words during our nighttime prayers to remember our Veterans. I would encourage you to pray them with us.
Dear Lord Jesus Christ, we give you praise and thanksgiving for our veterans in our communities and around the world who have bravely served to protect us from harm. Be with them this day and protect them. We ask Our Blessed Mother to always be their Mother ready to protect them as well. For those who have given their lives, we ask that their families are healed and protected from any harm. Amen.
Saint Michael the Archangel, Saint George, and Saint Joan of Arc…Pray for our veterans, all military personnel, and for us.
